RON HOGAN

E-MAIL MARKETING, ONLINE MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA, BOOK BLOGGERS, EDITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

Ron Hogan helped create the literary Internet by launching Beatrice.com in 1995. He spent several years writing about the business side of publishing as a senior editor for GalleyCat, briefly worked with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as their director of e-marketing strategy, and was part of the inaugural editorial team at Regan Arts, where he published critically acclaimed novels by Beth Hahn, Kermit Roosevelt, Lev AC Rosen, and Karolina Waclawiak.

These days, he’s using all that experience to help publishing companies and individual authors develop stronger connections with their readers. He speaks frequently at book festivals and publishing conferences about how to make the best use of social networking tools, advances in digital publishing, and other transformative trends in the publishing industry.

Ron can also offer Developmental Editing to help fine-tune your novel or narrative non-fiction manuscript as you work toward the clearest possible expression of your voice and your story.

Ron maintains an active presence in New York’s literary scene, including Lady Jane’s Salon, the city’s only monthly reading series dedicated to romance fiction. In addition to regular posts at Beatrice, Ron also writes book reviews and literary features for several other publications.
