FREE Author Workshop: Six Things a Publicist, Bookseller, Social Media Specialist, and Marketing Director Want Every Writer to Know at the Brooklyn Book Festival on September 16
Jessica Stockton Bagnulo, Rich Kelley, Bridget Marmion, and Jen Maguire will be sharing six tips each in a free author workshop at the Brooklyn Book Festival to help writers at various stages of the publishing process — writing, pre-publication, launch, and post-publication — decide the best next steps in terms of increasing their visibility and marketing their work.
The workshop — Six Things a Publicist, Bookseller, Social Media Specialist, and Marketing Director Want Every Writer to Know — will take place on Sunday, September 16 at 3:00 PM in Room 3213 at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street as part of the Brooklyn Book Festival.

Jessica Stockton Bagnulo is the Co-Owner of Greenlight Bookstore, where she is also the Events & Marketing Director. Prior to founding Greenlight in 2009, she had worked in NYC bookstores, publishers, and literary agencies for over 10 years. Greenlight Bookstore now has two store locations and hosts over 200 author events a year across the city.
Rich Kelley is a hands-on marketing pro who has spent years doing online marketing (including online advertising, SEO/SEM, and analytics), email marketing, social media coaching, and content development/marketing for both for-profit and non-profit publishers as well as traditionally-published and self-published authors.
Bridget Marmion was SVP of Marketing at FSG, Random House, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and launched her own marketing firm six years ago.
